About

Lovely cards for lovely people with a "green" sensibility.

History

Green Card Design has been around for some time now, and the name comes from a bad pun.

I was creating one-off collage based greeting cards a while back and because collage as a technique recycles materials and ephemera that would normally be thrown away, it is, by definition "green". I was "designing" these "green" cards making me a green card designer... and that became Green Card Design.

Until recently, my cards haven't been available commercially. I have created Christmas cards under the moniker Green Card each year since the late 1990s, sending them to friends, family and later to clients and buyers of my artwork, prints and paintingsThis link will open in a new tab .

I found that people really liked them and often they were keeping them year on year, building up their own little collection of my work. It always struck me as a very sweet thing to do and provided me with extra impetus to develop Green Card Design further and make my cards more widely available.

Green Card Design is proud to be a member of the Greeting Card AssociationThis link will open in a new tab.

Green policy

I like to make the products I offer as environmentally friendly as I possibly can. Our cards are printed on carbon captured papers, making them really "green" cards too.
